West Tide Letterpress is a Galway print studio producing invitations, small-run books, and event posters. Its founder took the Hold the Door pledge after remembering how difficult it was to price a first commissioned job without a trusted person to ask. Each quarter, the studio will offer one first-time founder a practical session on quoting, paper choices, and preparing files for print, with no requirement to place an order. The first session is designed as a working conversation rather than a sales pitch; the founder helps the visitor build a sample cost sheet and leaves time for questions about supplier minimums. The studio has also made a short guide available to other local start-ups. In the first quarter, it hosted one founder for a 90-minute session and shared a template that the participant used to prepare three customer quotations. The owner says a small, specific offer is more useful than promising broad mentorship the studio could not consistently provide.
