Our story

Umoya Loomworks is a Cape Town textile workshop making small runs of woven table linens with local cotton. The founders took the Paid in 15 pledge after several late payments from larger buyers forced them to delay buying yarn and left two part-time weavers waiting for wages. They wanted their own purchasing practice to match the dependable relationships they hoped to build with customers. Since joining Reseated, the workshop has logged invoice dates and agreed payment deadlines in a shared calendar, with one staff member responsible for checking each week. In its first six months, it paid 19 of 21 small-supplier invoices within 15 days, compared with 11 of 20 in the previous period. The change also made cash planning easier: the team now sets aside supplier money before committing to new fabric orders. The owners say the pledge is a practical habit, not a claim that every invoice can always be paid early.
