Taller Nopal y Barro makes small batches of tableware with local clay and employs six people. Its owner took the Paid in 15 pledge after two independent clay suppliers said late invoices were forcing them to buy materials on credit. The workshop used to pay in roughly thirty days, even when a restaurant client paid promptly. It now logs delivery dates every Monday and schedules supplier payments within fifteen calendar days. The team also set aside a modest weekly reserve so a busy sales week is not required before an invoice can be cleared. In the first four months, 11 of 12 eligible supplier invoices were paid on time, and the average payment time fell from 29 days to 13. The owner says the change made purchasing more predictable and helped the workshop keep its production calendar steady during the summer rush.
