Our story

Taller La Ventana Azul produces illustrated prints and commissions work from independent artists in Valparaíso. The studio took the Paid in 15 pledge after noticing that its own approval process, rather than lack of funds, was often delaying payments to collaborators. It now confirms project milestones in writing, checks invoices twice a week, and pays approved work within 15 days. The average time between invoice approval and payment has fallen from 19 days to 8, and 14 collaborators have been paid within the pledge period this year. Artists have told the studio that clearer dates help them plan materials and other commissions. The team also added a shared payment calendar so the person approving a job can see when the invoice is due. The owners say faster payment has not increased administrative costs as much as they expected; fewer follow-up messages have offset some of the extra accounting time. They plan to publish a short annual update on their payment record.
