Taller La Hebra Clara repairs workwear and makes reusable fabric goods for neighborhood businesses in Valparaíso. Founder Camila Rojas signed the No Surprise Fees pledge after customers asked why a quoted repair sometimes included an extra collection or finishing charge. The studio now separates the base service, optional pickup, and materials on every estimate, then confirms the total before beginning. In the first five months, it recorded twenty-seven fewer invoice corrections than in the previous period, and repeat customers began approving work by message without needing a follow-up call. Camila says the change was especially useful for small cafés that budget carefully and cannot absorb unexpected costs. The studio also added a short note explaining when a repair may require a new estimate, such as hidden damage discovered after opening a seam. The aim is not to avoid necessary adjustments, but to ask first and make the choice clear.
