Taller Jacarandá is a small leather goods studio making belts, cardholders, and repair pieces. Owner Mariela Rosario joined No Surprise Fees after customers told her that delivery charges on custom orders appeared too late in the ordering process. She reviewed every quote and added a simple breakdown for materials, labor, delivery, and any optional finishing. The total is now visible before the customer confirms an order, and the shop does not add a handling fee afterward. Over four months, order cancellations after a quote fell from 7 in a typical month to 2, and Mariela has had fewer uncomfortable calls about unexpected costs. She says the clearest improvement is that customers can choose a simpler delivery option before committing. The studio’s average order value has stayed about the same, but repeat orders have increased by 9 percent. Mariela plans to apply the same clear breakdown to repair estimates this season.
