Sinar Pagi Jahitan is a family-run alterations shop in George Town that also sews uniforms for small cafés and guesthouses. Owner Nur Aisyah Rahman took the Paid in 15 pledge because two local fabric and thread suppliers were waiting too long for payment during busy school-uniform seasons. She introduced a weekly invoice review and set aside a portion of each uniform deposit for materials. Over four months, the shop reduced its average supplier payment time from twenty-eight days to fourteen, while keeping its existing staff schedule. The quicker payments helped one supplier offer smaller, more frequent deliveries, which reduced the shop’s need to store extra cloth in its limited workspace. Aisyah says the pledge made her notice how often a delayed customer balance became a delayed supplier payment. Now, customers receive clearer progress updates, and the shop discusses any payment difficulty before an invoice becomes overdue.
