Ruen Mai Loomworks is a Chiang Mai textile workshop that makes handwoven table linens with a team of eight artisans. Owner Nicha Srisawat took the Paid in 15 pledge after noticing that late payments from larger buyers were forcing the workshop to delay yarn purchases and pay its weavers in installments. She wanted a simple rule that suppliers could understand and plan around, rather than promises that depended on each month’s cash flow. Since taking the pledge, the workshop records invoice dates in a shared ledger and schedules payment twice a week. In its first quarter under the rule, it paid 19 of 20 small-supplier invoices within 15 days, compared with 11 of 20 in the previous quarter. The faster cycle also helped two local yarn sellers keep their own delivery schedules. Nicha says the commitment made payment timing part of the order process, not an afterthought.
