Papel y Nube is a stationery business supplying notebooks and printed materials to schools and small offices. It took the First Order Terms pledge after learning that some new independent suppliers were hesitant to accept an initial order without immediate payment. The shop now offers net-30 terms on a first order to eligible suppliers, with the due date written clearly on the purchase order. It also checks references and delivery capacity before confirming an order, so the more generous terms do not replace ordinary business care. The owner set a monthly cash forecast to ensure that first-order invoices can be paid on time. Since adopting the policy, the shop has placed six first orders with new suppliers; all six received net-30 terms, and five have already been paid by their due dates. One supplier has since become a regular source for recycled-paper notebooks. The owner says the pledge makes it easier to start a fair relationship rather than asking a new partner to carry all the early risk.
