Oja Tuntun Atelier is a leather goods workshop in Ibadan, making belts, pouches, and small work bags. It signed First Order Terms after a first-time independent buckle maker said that advance payment for every new customer made it hard to take on trial orders. The atelier now offers net-30 terms on a first order, written clearly on the purchase confirmation, and agrees on a delivery check before work begins. It keeps the first order modest so both sides can learn how the other handles quality and communication. The initial purchase was for 60 buckles and was paid on day 27 after the workshop confirmed the count. The supplier later accepted a larger repeat order, while the atelier gained a reliable local source and avoided a long-distance restock. Founder Tunde Adebayo says the pledge gives a new supplier room to establish a relationship without removing sensible checks. The workshop will review first-order invoices monthly and contact suppliers before a due date if any paperwork is incomplete.
