Oficina Vento de Barro sells handmade ceramics to customers across Brazil, including buyers who are unfamiliar with import and delivery charges on cross-border orders. A few customers were surprised by duties due when a parcel arrived, even though those charges were not controlled by the workshop. The owners joined No Bill at the Door to show the estimated duties and taxes before customers paid whenever the carrier and destination information made that possible. They updated product pages, added a destination check to the order flow, and wrote a concise explanation of cases where an estimate could vary. In the first five months, 16 international orders used the clearer estimate, and the workshop received no complaints about an unexpected bill at delivery. The change has added a small step to order review, but it has reduced difficult conversations after shipment. The owners say they would rather explain uncertainty before purchase than leave a customer to discover a charge at the door.
