Mikro Perasma is a six-room guesthouse in Nafplio, run by siblings Sofia and Dimitris Anagnostou. They took the No Surprise Fees pledge after guests asked whether cleaning, breakfast, and local taxes were included in the rates shown during booking. The guesthouse now displays the full accommodation price for each room and date, states clearly which optional services cost extra, and explains local charges before a reservation is confirmed. The siblings checked the wording across their own website, printed booking cards, and two travel platforms to make sure the same information appeared everywhere. In the first three months, 42 of 45 surveyed guests said the total cost was clear before booking, compared with 29 of 45 in their earlier informal survey. The front desk has also logged fewer billing questions at checkout. Sofia says the change has not made every rate lower; it has made each rate easier to understand. For a small guesthouse, she believes that honest expectations are part of welcoming people well.
