Metsi Moya Refrigeration services cold rooms and display fridges for independent grocers and caterers in Johannesburg. Managing director Thabo Mokoena took the Paid in 15 pledge to make sure the small parts distributors who keep emergency repairs possible are not left financing the business. The company introduced a daily approval window for completed jobs and pays undisputed supplier invoices within fifteen days. After five months, its median supplier payment time dropped from thirty-one days to thirteen, and a parts distributor began offering same-day collection on selected components. Thabo says the commitment has also prompted the team to send job reports and purchase references promptly instead of letting paperwork sit in technicians’ vehicles. The company still has to manage uneven customer payment cycles, so it keeps a modest reserve for urgent parts. Metsi Moya sees that reserve as part of responsible service, not a reason to pass delays down the supply chain.
