Kopi Pagi Rapi roasts Indonesian coffee for neighborhood cafés and a modest online store. Owner Ratri Wulandari signed Paid in 15 to make payment timing more dependable for smallholder cooperatives and local packaging vendors. Previously, payment runs happened whenever the owner had spare time, which could leave suppliers uncertain even when funds were available. Ratri now reviews complete invoices every Monday and Thursday and records the expected transfer date in a shared ledger. The team also asks suppliers to flag any missing paperwork early, rather than discovering a problem at the end of the month. Across the first four months, the average time to pay small suppliers moved from 29 days to 14. One cooperative used its earlier settlement to cover transport for a new harvest lot. Ratri says the pledge encouraged the roastery to treat payment as part of sourcing quality. The change is small enough to maintain, even during the seasonal rush.
