Kogane Kōbō produces notebooks and paper goods in short runs, supplying museum shops and small bookshops. Owner Rina Takahashi joined Paid in 15 after several buyers routinely paid a month or more after delivery, making it hard to reserve paper from a small regional mill. She added the payment term to order confirmations, sends invoices as soon as parcels ship, and follows up courteously on day 12 when an invoice remains open. Of 16 recurring trade customers, 12 now pay within 15 days; the studio’s average collection time has shortened from 27 days to 14. Rina used the improved cash flow to place a larger paper order at the mill’s regular rate rather than paying extra for a rushed shipment. She says the pledge also helped her explain why small suppliers value timely settlement. The studio still allows a conversation when a buyer has a genuine difficulty, but any revised date is agreed in writing and respected by both sides.
