Kleiwerk Morgenrot is a Dresden ceramics studio selling tableware to independent shops and small cafés. It took the First Order Terms pledge because new wholesale customers often had to pay immediately, a condition that made it difficult for small retailers to test a modest opening assortment. The studio wanted to offer a fair first step without removing sensible safeguards. It now offers eligible first-time business buyers net-30 terms, with the invoice date and due date stated clearly on the order confirmation. The team also uses a brief credit check and a modest first-order cap so the policy remains manageable for a small maker. In its first four months, 8 of 10 first-time wholesale buyers used the terms, and 7 paid by the due date. Two later placed repeat orders, including one shop that expanded its selection after seeing which pieces sold. Kleiwerk says net-30 is a practical invitation to start a relationship, not an automatic promise of unlimited credit.
