Kleine Kade Werkplaats repairs chairs, tables, and shop fittings for independent cafés around Utrecht. Owner Marit van Dijk took the Paid in 15 pledge after a small upholstery supplier told her that slow invoices made it difficult to keep fabric in stock. The studio now schedules supplier payments twice a month and checks invoices within three working days. In the first six months, its average payment time fell from thirty-four days to twelve, and two suppliers agreed to reserve materials for urgent repairs. Marit says the change also improved the studio’s own planning: each job now includes a clear materials budget and payment date before work begins. The team has not grown, but it has stopped treating supplier credit as an invisible cushion. A simple cash-flow calendar keeps the commitment visible to everyone who handles purchasing.
