Klarer Weg Bürobedarf supplies desks, lamps, and everyday office essentials to small teams in Leipzig. Founder Jonas Richter took the No Surprise Fees pledge after customers said that delivery and handling charges appearing late in checkout made it hard to compare offers. The company now displays the full payable amount, including delivery and any applicable service charge, before a buyer confirms an order. It also revised quotations sent by email so that the same total appears on the first page, not in a later attachment. In a six-month review, the share of online orders abandoned at the final payment step fell from 18 percent to 11 percent. Support staff also logged 40 percent fewer questions about unexpected charges. Jonas says the change required updating product data and training the team to explain exceptions plainly. The company still charges for optional services, but customers can see those costs before deciding whether to add them.
