Fir de Munte Atelier signed the Paid in 15 pledge to give its small wood suppliers a predictable payment date. The Brașov workshop makes shelves and kitchen boards from locally purchased timber, and it depends on independent sawyers and finishers for carefully prepared materials. Previously, invoices were handled when someone had time, which made even short delays hard to anticipate. The owners created a delivery checklist, assigned invoice approval to one manager, and set a 15-day payment deadline. In the first 90 days, 17 of 18 small-supplier invoices were paid within the pledge window; the last was delayed by a bank-detail mismatch and settled on day 16. The team now checks payment details when an order is placed and sends confirmation when money is transferred. Managing Director Andrei Popescu says the pledge made their purchasing commitments easier to trust. The workshop also shares a monthly forecast with regular suppliers, helping them reserve timber and plan their own workloads.
