Fadenwerk Morgenrot is a Dresden sewing studio that repairs garments and makes small runs of practical bags. Owner Anja Keller took the Hold the Door pledge after a newer maker asked for advice on pricing, supplier choices, and how to approach a first wholesale customer. The studio committed to helping one first-time founder each quarter through a structured, two-hour working session and a follow-up check-in. Its first participant, who was preparing a small line of reusable lunch wraps, received help building a basic cost sheet and a list of questions to ask fabric suppliers. The founder later reported securing a first trial order of 24 pieces, with prices set to cover materials and labour. Anja keeps the support practical and does not promise funding or guaranteed sales; she shares templates and experience, then lets the founder make independent decisions. The pledge has also helped the studio document advice it previously gave informally. Anja says opening the door in a manageable way is more useful than offering vague encouragement without concrete next steps.
