Dílna U Modré Misky is a Brno ceramics studio selling mugs, bowls, and short workshops. It signed No Surprise Fees after noticing that workshop participants sometimes discovered a materials charge only when they arrived. The studio now lists the complete workshop price, including clay, glaze, and firing, on the booking page. For shipped pottery, it shows the delivery charge before checkout and explains that any exceptional handling needs the buyer’s approval first. The owner also reviewed old product descriptions and removed wording that could make a price look lower than the amount actually due. In the first ten weeks, customer messages asking about extra charges fell from 12 to 3, and the booking completion rate increased from 62 to 70 percent. The studio says the pledge has made its small business feel more welcoming: customers can decide with confidence, and staff spend less time clarifying bills.
