Daeul Morae Textiles took the Paid in 15 pledge after its owner saw how slowly invoices from larger buyers could ripple through a small workshop. The Busan team makes reusable cloth wraps and aprons, buying fabric in modest lots and paying local stitchers weekly. Before the pledge, a late customer payment sometimes meant postponing a fabric order or asking workers to wait an extra few days. The workshop now sends clear invoices on delivery, records approval dates, and aims to pay small suppliers within 15 days. In its first quarter, it paid 18 of 20 supplier invoices within that window, compared with 9 of 20 previously. The change also prompted two buyers to name a contact for invoice questions. Owner Kim Seo-yeon says the pledge made reliable payment a visible promise rather than a private intention. The team plans to review its payment log every month.
