Benang Pagi is a Bandung apparel workshop making uniforms and everyday shirts in short runs. Its owner took the Paid in 15 pledge because independent sewing teams and fabric sellers were carrying the cost of orders while waiting for the workshop’s monthly accounting cycle. Benang Pagi changed that cycle: staff record each delivery the same day, flag missing paperwork quickly, and release approved payments every Friday. The team also tells suppliers about any discrepancy instead of letting an invoice sit unanswered. In the first four months, 21 small suppliers were paid within 15 days, and the average payment period fell from 25 days to 11. The change has made it easier for two sewing partners to buy materials for the next batch without borrowing from relatives. The owner says the pledge suits the workshop’s values: reliable work should be matched by reliable payment. It has become a standing item in the weekly production meeting.
