Bánh Mộc An is a neighborhood bakery in Đà Nẵng known for seasonal cakes and locally milled flour. Founder Nguyễn Thảo Linh took the No Surprise Fees pledge after customers repeatedly asked why delivery and packaging charges appeared only at checkout. The bakery reviewed every online and in-store price, then moved delivery options and any applicable packaging cost beside the item price before customers placed an order. It also trained staff to explain when a fee could vary, such as a longer delivery route, rather than presenting an unexpected total at payment. During a six-week trial, customer questions about checkout charges fell from 27 to 8 per week, while completed online orders rose by 12 percent. Linh says clear pricing has helped the team avoid awkward conversations at the counter and made customers more comfortable trying unfamiliar products. The bakery now checks its menus and ordering page together whenever costs or delivery arrangements change.
