Badaeun Soban prepares lunch boxes for small offices and neighborhood events in Busan. Owner Han Seo-yeon took the No Surprise Fees pledge after several customers were unsure whether delivery, packaging, and dietary substitutions were included in the price. The kitchen now shows one total for each order size and lists any optional additions before checkout. For catering requests, customers receive a written estimate that remains valid for seven days, with ingredient substitutions confirmed before preparation. Over three months, order-related refund requests fell from eleven to four, and the kitchen spent less time correcting invoices at the end of the week. Seo-yeon says the pledge helped her explain that a lower headline price is not useful if the final bill is different. The team reviews its menu costs monthly and updates prices openly when ingredients change. Regular customers can still ask for tailored meals, but they see the full cost before confirming the order.
