Ateliér U Dvou Lip makes small-batch tableware for local restaurants and homeware shops. Founder Klára Novotná joined No Surprise Fees after discovering that delivery and handling charges made several wholesale orders more expensive than the quoted price. The workshop now gives customers a single written total before accepting payment, including packaging, delivery, and any special-order costs. In its first quarter under the pledge, the number of customer questions about add-on charges fell from nine a month to two. Klára also changed the order form so that optional services are listed separately rather than quietly added to the invoice. The clearer process has made conversations with new stockists easier, especially when they are comparing suppliers. The workshop still adjusts prices when clay or firing costs change, but it explains the change up front and confirms the final amount before the customer commits.
