Atelier Trazos del Río is a small Medellín studio printing short-run textiles and posters for independent designers. It took the Paid in 15 pledge because its fabric dyers and paper supplier were often smaller businesses themselves, yet payment had slipped beyond a month during busy seasons. Owner Camila Restrepo introduced a shared invoice register, assigned one person to confirm deliveries, and scheduled transfers twice a week. The studio also began telling suppliers promptly if an invoice needed correction instead of letting it sit unexplained. Over the first 90 days, 23 of 24 eligible supplier invoices were paid within 15 days; previously, only about half met that mark. Restrepo says the change has improved the studio’s planning as much as its suppliers’ cash flow: production slots are easier to reserve when both sides know when money will arrive. The team reviews late-payment exceptions monthly and keeps its pledge visible on purchase orders.
