Our story

<p>Sombra de Erva is a micro-producer of blended herbal teas in Florianópolis, buying dried ingredients and labels in modest quantities. Owner Beatriz Nunes took the Paid in 15 pledge because several small growers told her that unpredictable payment dates made it difficult to reserve harvests for the next batch. The company now records delivery acceptance on the day goods arrive and sends payment dates with its purchase confirmations. A weekly review catches missing documents early, rather than leaving suppliers to chase an invoice weeks later. This has also made production planning more dependable: the team can confirm ingredient availability sooner and schedule batches with fewer substitutions. In the first five months, 41 of 44 approved supplier invoices were paid within 15 days, and average payment time dropped from 21 days to 11. Beatriz says the exceptions were documented and communicated rather than silently delayed. She signed because small producers should be able to plan around a clear commitment, just as her own business asks customers to plan around its lead times.</p>
