Our story

Sidr Alwan Studio sells locally designed home accessories through a small showroom and an online shop in Sharjah. The business joined No Surprise Fees after buyers asked whether delivery, gift wrapping, or payment processing would be added after they had selected an item. Instead of replying individually, the team rebuilt its checkout so the complete amount appears before the customer confirms payment. It also lists delivery areas and any applicable charges beside each product, while staff use the same written estimate for showroom orders. This has made conversations with customers shorter and reduced the chance of a surprise at handover. In the first month, the studio processed 94 online orders using the updated price display; only three customers contacted staff to clarify fees, compared with 14 in the preceding month. The pledge encouraged the team to treat clarity as part of the product experience, not as a detail to explain only when someone complains.
