Our story

<p>Ruang Reka Runcit builds compact counters and display units for independent retailers in Kuala Lumpur. Managing director Lim Wei Jun took the No Bill at the Door pledge after a client received an unexpected import-duty bill when a specialty fitting arrived from overseas. The company now checks the delivery route and applicable charges before an order is approved, then shows the customer the duties and handling costs in writing. If a charge cannot be confirmed in advance, the estimate explains what remains uncertain and the company asks for permission before proceeding. Over the first five months, all twelve imported-component orders were accompanied by a documented landed-cost summary, and none required an unplanned customer payment at delivery. Wei Jun says this takes extra coordination, but it prevents a rushed installation from turning into a dispute at the loading bay. The firm also reviews local alternatives with customers where they may meet the same specifications. The pledge makes the full cost part of the design conversation, not a surprise after the purchase.</p>
