Our story

<p>Kito Kazi Supplies is an office supplies retailer in Nakuru, serving schools, clinics, and small offices. It joined Paid in 15 after two local stationery makers explained that delayed invoices made it difficult to purchase paper and pay casual workers on time. Kito Kazi had no intention of withholding payment, but its monthly approval routine often added weeks after goods were delivered. The owner now records delivery checks immediately, assigns one staff member to resolve invoice questions, and schedules payments every Friday. Over the first 12 weeks, 25 of 27 approved invoices from small suppliers were settled within 15 days, compared with 13 of 27 in the preceding period. The retailer has also begun sharing a short order forecast with regular suppliers, reducing urgent requests during school opening periods. Owner Peter Mwangi says the pledge helped turn a good intention into a process that can be checked. The business reviews late invoices each month and contacts suppliers early if a genuine dispute needs more time.</p>
