Our story

Casa Nube Taller is a Valencia homeware studio that imports a limited range of specialist fittings alongside locally made pieces. Founder Elena Ferrer signed No Bill at the Door because customers should not discover an extra duty or handling charge only when a parcel reaches them. The studio now checks the likely landed costs before listing imported items, includes applicable charges in the displayed checkout total where it can, and clearly explains any exception before payment. It also pauses orders when a carrier’s estimate is unclear rather than presenting an incomplete price as final. In the first three months, 19 imported orders were reviewed under the new process, and 17 showed all known charges before checkout; the other two were held until the cost information could be confirmed. Elena says the extra checking has reduced surprise messages and helped customers choose between imported and locally made alternatives. The pledge has made the studio more selective about what it offers, but that restraint is preferable to passing uncertainty to a customer at the door.
